The System

Movit System – 3D Edition is the ideal tool for researchers, professionals and specialists in every sector interested in objectively monitoring and quantifying human movements. Easy, fast and usable in any environment, thanks to the network of wearable inertial sensors, it provides a complete and accurate movement analysis. The system can be used both indoors and outdoors. It has no constraints of brightness and environment. No external infrastructure is required. The inertial devices are called Movit G1 and the USB receiver connected to the PC is called Dongle G1.

Positioning

Each Movit G1 device has been designed to be universal and applicable on the main parts of the body. Through the wearable holders and a quick coupling / release system it is possible to wear the devices easily.

Outcomes

The system outputs raw data files, animation files, video files, and joint angle files. Each output can be selected or deselected. The raw data are the accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and quaternion values. The animation recorded is a standard BVH file. The video is a standard video file. The joint angles are saved in CSV format for easy import into Excel or other software. All information is synchronized with each other so as to be able to analyze the phenomenon from different points of observation
